About Chef Lauren
Lauren McCabe discovered her passion for cooking as a young child when an aunt taught her to bake peach pie. After 15 years in the fast paced world of global telecommunications and wireless
networking, Chef Lauren decided to change careers and pursue her dream of cooking professionally. She earned diploma in professional culinary arts and wine studies from the Cook Street School in Denver, CO, and received advanced training in both Paris, France and Asti, Italy. Upon completion of her culinary studies, Chef Lauren returned to St. Charles County where she had spent childhood summers on her family's farm. She has worked in both restaurants and country clubs, and has taught cooking classes for several national cooking retailers.
In addition to her culinary background, Lauren holds a BA in Political Science from the George Washington University and an International MBA from the University of South Carolina. She also speaks both Spanish and Portuguese and just enough French to cause problems when visiting Paris.
Chef Lauren is a member of the American Personal & Private Chef Association and a ServSave Certified Safe Food Handler. With these memberships and certifications, you can be confident you are getting the best quality and safest food available.
